so steph works from home and i just assumed that she actually works all day. until i found out she spends her days goofing off in illustrator creating insanely great simpsons parodies.

after months of lusting (and whining and pleading with Steph), I finally took it upon myself to purchase an iphone. stoked. its fun. now knowing my luck a new version should be out next week.
unlocked it no problem with ziphone. well not really no problem. wasn’t able to get the IMEI change to work. need that so i can figure out the Rogers data plan thing. canada’s data plans for phones suck ball sack. let’s hurry up and get some competition up in this joint.
due to some unforseen problems, we had to settle for this to welcome my bosses to April Fools Day
when you get to this level you’re paying for more than a pair of shoes. pretty interesting video showing the process of making bespoke shoes. makes you wonder how and what goes into those $29 specials at aldo…
finally got around to dropping some Paris photos onto flickr. never got around to taking too many but i played around with some night shots of Notre Dame that turned out OK.
this past friday afternoon at work we took a little break to watch the movie helvetica. something i’ve been meaning to see for a while so it was nice to finally watch it. its pretty f’n rad, especially so since its a documentary. i found the intro super interesting cause i just can’t imagine how it must have been back in the day typesetting by hand. great cinematography, really good soundtrack, some cool ideas and discussions and really weird old euro dudes (especially the guy with the flood pants).
check it out if you get the chance.
damn the stupid playstation network and their downloadable demos. demos are responsible for us buying almost every game we own. luckily this game is a cheap one. this one was more of a steph driven purchase as she was instantly hooked. its like asteroids on crack. the premise is simple: “destroy everything”, the controls are easy: two joysticks and 4 buttons, but its so fun. fun gaming doesn’t have to be hard and require the memorization of 24 different buttons and what they do in different situations (all the EA sport sim games i’m looking at you).
