wheeeee…i’m so excited…when we booked our flight to japan we weren’t really thinking about what’s going on in Japan we were just trying to make it work with our housing situation. well guess what?!?! we’re going to be there for the japanese f1 race and the tokyo game show!! wheeee!!! i can’t wait to see my first f1 race live! now i just have to find tickets…

taken for granted
sometimes i forget how lucky i am to live in this corner of the world. spent the weekend in whistler keeping the girlfriend company while she did some work up there and we got bored and decided to head up top for something to do.
there were literally squeals of delight from the tourists up there. they were so happy at seeing snow and taking in the views. whereas for us it was just “meh”.
its been a while since i’ve gone on a big adventure trip and it was always fun to look out the window on final approach and compare it to where i’d just come from. each place i’ve been is beautiful in its own way but we just seem to have something special here.
whistler update
been hanging out in whistler doing the festivus. arrived bright and early thursday morning for some shmoozing/riding. some highspeed burners with some skiers but it was all good.
the evening saw us at the trouble show, where despite being the title sponsor of the event, it took us over half an hour to get into our own party. sheesh. and the worst part is, the bar had been busted for being over capacity the night before resulting in them being super strict and the bar feeling vaguely empty. read more »

hey you. you in the crappy ass white sunfire loaded with so much gear you can’t see out the windows. if you don’t have the equipment (eg snowtires) or experience to drive to and from whistler, get the fuck off the road. driving 30km/h in a retarded attempt to be ’safe’ only pisses off everybody around you and makes the highways less safe. eat a bag!
good start
its only taken five years but i’m finally starting to get more riding time in with my work. got some turns in on mt. washington on monday. tuesday saw us reschedule some meetings to get some pow turns in up at whistler. then on wednesday, accomplished the ‘trifecta’. we rode all three local hills in one day. not bad huh. so its not christmas yet and i’ve already got 9 days on snow. stoked.

blah…got to spend one day at home before heading out on the road again. off to mt. washington for some meetings. we were taking the commuter flight over to comox but unfortunately our flight coincided with a pretty nasty windstorm. when you’re flying in a vw bus with wings, the flight gets pretty gnarly. and you know its bad when at the end of the flight, the pilot gets out and wipes his forehead and says “well…that was interesting.” the return flight was even worse. i never knew airplanes could fly sideways.
