it also turns out that Honda just announced they’re dropping out of F1. something about the current economic climate. rumors are that more teams will fall. combine that with bernie and max’s incompetent, money-grubbing management and pretty soon there will be no more F1 to watch. medals instead of points?! are they high?!

the evening saw us at the trouble show, where despite being the title sponsor of the event, it took us over half an hour to get into our own party. sheesh. and the worst part is, the bar had been busted for being over capacity the night before resulting in them being super strict and the bar feeling vaguely empty.
while it was nice to be able to walk around without jostling your drink, it wasn’t ideal for the hype factor. the show itself was pretty good although trev’s opening act would never make it past the first audition of american idol or even the white rapper show.

friday brought an enjoyable sleep-in followed by an attempt to connect the wii to the hotel room’s plasma. as a result i will never ever buy a phillips tv in my lifetime. the worst user interface known to human kind and the only tv that i have not been able to figure out. hence no wii action.

finally made it on hill for the crack of one club (its embarrassing, i know). multiple laps ruling it in the kiddie park. dinner brought some delicious sushi village although i could’ve eaten a lot more and drank a lot less. booked it over to the fashion show. enjoyable for something to keep the masses entertained but would be utterly laughed at by high fashion standards.

one of the the highlights has to be maestro fresh wes attempting a come back and calling out kanye, tupac and biggie in his freestyle. oh and times must be tough considering he was rocking the cheapest version of the all white AF1 re-releases. however, the ultimate highlight of the evening was prevail of the swollen members jumping into the air and smoking his head on an overhead lighting rig and getting knocked flat on his back accompanied by an almighty thud reverberating across the sound system from the live mic hitting the floor at the same time as his ass. oops.

wow, its amazing the amount of crap and junk that people will hold onto in the faint hope that it might be worth something. matchboxes (from some no name restaurants scattered around the country), old dolls that are fallen apart (no to mention the pedophile looking dude selling them), expo 86 souvenirs, gawd…i almost expected to find old willie nelson 8-track cartridges…

so imagine a gymnasium full of above mentioned old musty stinky stuff, journey playing on the PA, crowds of people who don’t seem to shower or wash their clothes, and possibly half a dozen leaking Depends undergarments and you can get a sense of the torture that was my Sunday morning.

oh and senior citizens have sharp elbows. they bump and barge like nobody’s business. i got taken the f out.

the only thing i was interested in was the Green Works building supply co but they’re like a block from my office and i’ve been walking by them almost everyday, just been too lazy to actually walk in and browse.

the most embarrassing part of the show had to be their so-called fashion show. only 6 models (including one girl who walked like a parade horse), maybe 10 brands (2-3 of which were accessory brands), dragged out over 15-20 minutes. gag. doesn’t Karl pull out like 100 different looks in 20 minutes?

on a side note, found out the Waterfront Centre has a “La Torilleria”. looks the same as the whistler one but don’t know if its the same chain or not. regardless the chicken taco salad was damn fine.
