this site needs a redesign but i’m too lazy. i deal with web crap all day at work and i don’t want to deal with it at home. but the layout is assaulting my eyes (especially the css image fuckups) and my laziness with image sizing is annoying me. bah!

i was hoping by not posting for a while and ignoring it, it would go away, but Steph is showing me up with her massive legion of fans of her blog. damn girls…

lessons learned

- if its a sum of money greater than what you’re willing to lose, get it in writing
- don’t hire a realtor who’s a friend or friend of a friend
- go with your gut
- don’t believe the ‘experts’
- internet bulletin boards posters are not authorities on a given subject

geeking out

for some reason i felt it necessary to update some tech shit on this blog that nobody is probably visiting anymore cause i write posts about as often as a seagull wipes its ass. upgraded the wordpress install and added google analytics, dorky no?

more importantly however is one week and counting until i peace out for Paris. all i gotta say is there better not be snow delays during my toronto connection.

hiatus

hiatus

Yeah so as you may or may not have noticed I haven’t been posting much. The brain’s not feeling so inspired these days and so the verbiage is a little hard to create. Perhaps after my Paris trip (oh did I forget to tell you that I’m ditching to Paris for Xmas break?!?!, well I am, suckers) I’ll feel a little more inspired but expect the updates to be sparse until then.

bard on the beach

bard on the beach

we had tickets to go see bard on the beach and it was one of the more surreal experiences i’ve had. a little worried about the weather in the morning but it turned out great. the show was good, the actors played up the comedic parts of the play but what made it a crazy experience was the goings on outside the venue.

in case you don’t know, BOTB is setup in a park under tents that are open to the elements behind the stage. well on this particular saturday evening, vancouver’s finest were quite busy with some sort of disturbance that required a police helicopter with searchlights doing circles over english bay.

so imagine if you will, shakespeare being performed by actors in designer jeans on a italian village stage set while the helicopters thump overhead with searchlights scanning the vancouver skyline behind the stage. weird.

in a world of hurt

in a world of hurt

the girlfriend went out of town for work so i decided to fix some nagging issues with the bathroom. what a pain in the ass. its been three straight days of 14 hour work days on my knees. my legs are so stiff and my back is so sore i think i’m going to die. i’m old.

oh and when i took steph to the airport i played around with their big luggage scales and made the mistake of weighing myself… somebody buy me lipo. actually i think i’m going to go on a cleanse and then a diet and just generally clean up my eating.

speaking of which, i finally caved after at least a month of watching those damn “baconator” commercials. its not bad. it just needs some lettuce and tomato to make it not so dry. and the bacon needs to be thicker slices. i’d eat it again.

update: while trying to find a picture of the baconator i found the nutritional information. 830 calories, 51 gr of fat. i don’t think i’ll be having another one…
