today marks the official end of preseason for me. i finished the last line showing of the season today and i couldn’t be happier. i’m positively giddy actually. now just a few more days of demos starting tomorrow at big white but its almost over…

a collection of run on sentences mostly about travel, fashion, technology, formula 1, design and anything else that this worker bee in the vancouver ad industry feels like rambling on about

tips on brown-nosing in the workplace. based on my observations it seems to work. only wish i could bring myself to do it.
gung hay fat choy. now give me my red packet bitches! mmmm…nothing beats my mom’s home cooked chinese new year feast extravaganza.
spent several days looking for a wii-mote and wasn’t able to find one so i figured i’d get wii-play. $15 more than a wii-mote by itself and you get the wii-play game. thank god it was only $15 more cause it sucks. if you don’t need another remote, don’t bother.
the minigames are so “mini” that you won’t spend more than a few minutes at each one. all the games are designed to familiarize yourself with one aspect of the remotes movement but having already played wii-sports that comes with the console most people should already be more than familiar with the movements. to top it off the games aren’t even fun, with the exception of the cow-racing which for some reason i found hilarious. oh and did i mention the graphics are so juvenile and basic that it looks like you’re playing one of those fisher price game pads.
but i do have another remote now so that’s all good.
i got a wii! after a few weeks of fruitless searching, the girlfriend ended up wandering into a future shop where a line was forming for a shipment that was just being delivered. luckily she managed to snag the last one. woohoo.
anyhoo, add me to your friends list. my mii code is:

did a little browsing for mattresses this past weekend and i gotta say, the margin on these things has got to be greater than high fashion. i’m thinking on the order of 80 margin. it can’t cost more than one or two hundred bucks to make a mattress that sells for well over two thousand dollars. especially memory foam mattresses. that shit is just straight up EVA which you know cost them all of 50 cents per square foot to manufacture. but goddamn if those memory foam beds don’t feel great. i can’t stand the bouncy bouncy of spring mattresses anymore.
been getting up on snow a bit lately. made it up to whistler on sunday for a fun day of shredding despite the top to bottom rain on whistler and the landslide that closed the highway greatly delaying our return. however, i seem to have forgotten how to snowboard. rocked a fabulous toe edge catch to scorpion on whistler. and rocked a fabulous heel edge slam complete with cutting the inside of my mouth on seymour yesterday during another on-snow demo. sheesh. at this rate i’ll be on an LTR board by the end of the season.
oeuf! spend all day yesterday running a little on-snow demo up at whistler with all the new gear. running laps with the crew from showcase and westbeach. goddamn i suck now. my poor chicken legs were rubber by lunchtime and it didn’t help that the ‘laps’ were top to bottom speed runs. i somehow managed to offset leg cramps by stretching all the time but i looked and felt like an old man. long day but fun none the less.
