so the PNE…i’ve never seen so many fashion don’ts concentrated in one area before. i mean if i were truly evil (i’m only partway there) i would park myself on a bench there with a 1GB memory card in my camera and just start snapping.

on another rant…the pig/duck races…grand total of about 30 seconds of action, drawn out into a 20 minute ordeal. i’m a city boy. i hate the smell of poo and i’m allergic to hay. show me the damn race and let me get the hell out.

so this past saturday steph’s dad took us out for a little boat ride. the original intention was to do some fishing but steph’s motion sickness kicked in so we decided to do a little harbour cruise instead.

i’ve been out a couple of times but this was the first time it was perfect weather and i must say, i quite enjoyed it. but more importantly, i became very fascinated with sailboats (we were on a powerboat). they just look so sleek and sophisticated yet so very natural and simple.

i think i want one. except they’re crazy expensive (you know i would never settle for a little one). maybe i should look at sailing lessons first. although i already know i hate knots and knots are a vital component of sailing. hmmmm…a dilemna.

so in a normal neighbourhood on a rockin friday night to kick off a long weekend one expects the odd party and loud music. we’ve got that too….at this exact moment, the lion king soundtrack (more specifically, the lion sleeps tonight) is drowning out our television…sheesh

marriage season

marriage season

attended a wedding this past weekend. interesting event. fun times had by all. some highlights include the 70% crown 30% coke mix, the pastor in birkenstocks, the dj in nike dri-fit and the worlds shortest speeches by the bridal party.

ahh yes, weddings… yet another reminder of my ongoing progression into old age. quick i better watch the MTV awards to stay young and hip…oh wait that was last night…damn alzheimers…where’s my walking stick at?
