apparently if you’re using a dell they do. not cause they get hot, they literally catch fire! luckily this poor dude’s computer was sitting on a desk and not his lap so that burning sensation he’s feeling is due to the $5 hooker he hooked up with the night before and not because his genitals were on fire. weeee!!!! i can’t wait until fire supression systems are a selling feature on laptops.

aarrgghh…more gadgets that i want. my ps2 has been hiding in a box ever since i moved so i’m not much of a gamer. i think a big part of it is that gaming seems to be all about first person shooters like doom, call of duty, etc. and i’m just kinda over it.
that’s why the new ds lite is so damn appealing. its got different games…fun games. at least i think they’re fun since i haven’t actually played them. and then there’s the dual-screen and stylus aspect of it which is kinda neat and different too. and then there’s the portable aspect.
like brain age, i could see myself killing time there. mario kart ds, its like the anti-gran turismo 4 (which i do love). new super mario bros, its like so retro. advance wars for the strategy side of things.
i’ve got myself pretty well convinced, i just can’t spend the money right now. damn house…maybe when the black one comes out in north america. but i bet by then the ps3 will be out. dammit.

home of the despot pt. 2
i knew it was too good to be true. after all the hooha i had to go through last time i thought it would’ve been all good. should’ve known better. got the call on wed afternoon that they only had 7 of the 8 blinds. great. i figured i better go grab the 7 before they lost them or something.
got them home started hanging them and guess what? the custom cut? well i think they hired gerbils to gnaw them to size. the worst edges known to man.
so another trip to the despot and had a conversation with the clerk. so now the rep is coming in on tuesday and they’re going to show the blinds to the rep and i’m requesting that they swap out the blinds with factory cut ones with real edges. what a pain in the ass.
oh and i knew the blinds were cheap but to have the screws twist apart under hand power is just ridiculous. so now i have pieces of screws embedded in my window pane. grrrr…
